The aim of the event is bring together metaphysicians and philosophers of science to discuss, in current and historical context:
(1) General methodological issues around the relationship between science and metaphysics
(2) Specific examples. These include cases where science impinges on debates in metaphysics, uses of analytic metaphysics to address questions in particular sciences.
All are welcome: analytic metaphysicians, metaphysically inclined philosophers of science, metaphysically disinclined philosophers of science, and historians of science and metaphysics.
